When Music Moves You

Updated: Feb 18

Music possesses an undeniable power to touch the very depths of our souls. Beyond language barriers, it can evoke deep emotions within us. The harmonies, melodies, and rhythms can stir memories, inspire joy, or provide solace during challenging times. As the psalmist writes in Psalm 149:1 (NLT), "Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful”.

Engaging with music, especially worship, can redirect our focus towards God and remind us of His unfailing love and promises. The music often becomes the anthems of our faith, echoing our heart's deepest cries and loftiest praises. They can uplift us and bring peace to troubled minds, drawing us closer to God.

The very essence of our being resonates with worship. We were intricately designed to worship God; music is a beautiful medium to express our adoration, gratitude, and reverence for our Saviour.

Quote

Music transports us to the throne room of God.

Father, thank You that I can worship You in spirit and truth. Amen.
