Rain and Book Reading

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 18

The sound of rain tapping against the window and the feel of a book in your hands is a proper little escape from the world. Psalm 119:105 (NIV): says "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." Just like a good book provides an escape, the Bible offers a pathway to understanding of life, love, and purpose.

As the rain washes away the dust and grime outside, diving into the ‘good book’ can do a bit of inner 'cleaning' as well. It gives your mind a breather, allows your soul to recharge, and offers spiritual wisdom to boot.

So the next time it's pouring, go ahead and cosy up with the Bible, there's a unique kind of tranquility that comes with reading while the rain sets the mood. It's almost like the world is saying, "Slow down, take a moment for yourself." Try it.

Quote The Bible is the pathway to life and purpose.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your word, it is so enriching to my life. Amen.

Action Point

The next time it rains, get hold of your Bible and read a few chapters.
