In my early working life, I used to catch the bus to my local employment. Each day I used to see a lady running down the street while applying lipstick to catch the bus I was on. It was the exact Groundhog moment every day.
Ephesians 5:15-16 (NCV) advises us, "So be very careful how you live. Do not live like those who are not wise, but live wisely. Use every chance you have for doing good, because these are evil times." This underscores the importance of not being slaves to time but mastering it through wisdom and intentionality.
This does not mean squandering time but filling it with purpose. When we live by faith, every second becomes an opportunity to show love, to act justly, and to walk humbly with God. It's about prioritising what matters, not just what seems urgent at the moment. Time is your servant.
