Courtesy is a simple act of politeness or respect that holds more profound significance when viewed through our Christian walk. We should, as believers, be willing to extend help, consider and be polite. It’s an outward expression of our love for God and the courtesy He extends us.
In 1 Peter 3:8 (NKJV), we find this counsel: "Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous." This scripture underscores the importance of displaying courtesy as integral to Christian love and unity.
When we show courtesy, we mirror God's love and grace to us. Esteems others above oneself. Though seemingly minor, such acts can have a profound impact, breaking barriers and sowing seeds of kindness. Our servant call is to reflect Christ's love in all interactions, and one tangible way we achieve this is through consistent acts of courtesy.
Quote Show people the same courtesy as God shows you.
