Simplicity

Updated: Feb 17

Keeping prayer simple allows us to connect with God genuinely and sincerely. Keeping prayer simple lets us maintain an authentic and intimate connection with God. We create space for genuine conversation and a deeper communion with Him by stripping away unnecessary complications. We can speak to Him as we would with a close friend, sharing our joys, sorrows, hopes, and fears openly and honestly.

Matthew 6:7-8 says, ‘And when you pray, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. So, do not be like them [praying as they do]; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.’ (AMP)

We do not need to use elaborate or repetitive words to impress Him. Instead, we can approach Him with a humble and sincere heart, sharing our thoughts, concerns, and desires in a simple childlike way.

Quote Simplicity in prayer is not weakness it’s sincerity and humility in action.

Prayer

Father, help me to pray simply before you. Amen.

Action Point

Do a bible study about how we can come to God in simplicity.
