00363 - Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

Below is a link to a version of Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, written by Helen Howarth Lemmel in 1882. It was originally called ‘The Heavenly Vision’. News Boys, Hillsong and Michael W Smith have all done their own versions of this song. If you’ve ever had a moment at a conference when the music stopped and one song was sung, it is probably this one.

Psalm 123:1 simply says, ‘O God enthroned in heaven, I lift my eyes to you.’ (TLB)

When we lift our gaze above the haze of life, we’ll be like a plane breaking through the cloud layer to get to the sun on the other side. No storm will stop you; no bad weather slow you down. Focusing our eyes on the King will bring us to a point of confidence and peace. We’ll be walking forward in step with the King of Kings.

Quote Raise your gaze above the haze of life to see Jesus in His fullness.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, that I can walk life out in the victory of Your son. Amen.
