00354 - A Day of Good Memories

Once a year, it’s always good to get photo albums out and have a good reminisce about the memories those photos represent. You get instantly transported back to the place, the sights, sounds, and smells of the moment preserved in your mind. There is nothing like a trip down memory lane. I also love reflecting on the memories of my Christian walk as much as memories of family life.

Philippians 1:3-5 says, ‘I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,’ (NIV)

In God’s Kingdom, the memories we have suggest an eternal focus. A great Church meeting, a missions trip, being baptised or helping disciple someone. It’s good to remember; those memories often stir our faith for the journey ahead. Thank you Lord.

Quote

Memories build faith that God will work among us once more.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for my memories; they remind me how You have worked and give me faith for the future. Amen.

Action Point

So take a day out, bring some friends or family together and remember. All will have a great time.
