00339 - Write Yourself a Letter for Next Year

You might have a list of things you would love to see sorted by next year. That’s a good enough reason to write a letter to yourself and put it in an envelope to open at the same time next year. You’ll have a clear picture of how influential your prayers have been if you decide to remind yourself of any advice you wrote yourself for next year.

Proverbs 11:14 says, ‘Without good direction, people lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.’ (MSG)

So whether you remind yourself by writing a letter you open next year or decide to get more external advice for your decision-making, the important thing is don’t make rash decisions and try to always factor God into everything thing you do. That way, you will at least know you have made the best God-centered choices you possibly could - Amen.

Quote

Keep focusing on God, get wise counsel and don’t make bad decisions.

Prayer

Father, keep my heart close to Yours so that might choices reflect your desire. Amen.

Action Point

If you did this once a year, after a few years, you would see a pattern of God’s hand guiding you in your decision making.
