Sight Verses Vision

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 13

Sight is a wonderful gift. To see the colour of spring or the deep rich glow of morning and night in the sky. To hear what a person is saying just by witnessing their facial expression. Every time your eyes see something, your brain is given information, which is the currency of the soul.

Vision (in a Christian context) goes beyond what we see in any moment. Vision should take us on a journey to a destination not yet seen. Vision will build your faith to believe, empower your prayer and inspire you to keep moving forward.

Proverbs 29:18 says, ‘Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.’ (KJV) In your Christian walk never limit your journey to what you see today; tomorrow it will be different. Let the vision you have move you closer to God’s destination for you.

Quote

What you see is in the moment, God’s vision for you is a journey to His destination.

Prayer

Lord, help me not be limited in vision. Help me Lord, follow Your course for my life. Amen.

Action Point

If you don’t have a vision for your life from God, pray for one. If you do write it down and work toward accomplishing it.
