Having recently had a birthday, I realised three things. When I look in the mirror, I see my 50’s self. My mind, however, is firmly still in its 20’s, and some of my joints are in their 70’s a couple of times a month; I laughed.
To keep going as long as possible, let your mind remain as young as it wants to be, and reduce stress as much as possible. Then for your looks, drink plenty of water, eat healthy food and sleep well. Finally, if you have a joint issue, deal with it quickly.
2 Corinthians 4:16 says, ‘So we do not give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day.’ (NCV) Adjust what you need to keep serving God, the latter years might be more prayerful, and that’s fine. God still needs you.
