00325 - The Sack of Worries

Carl Brettle

Have you ever found that during your moments with God, the sack of worries we seem to carry diminishes? In our closest moments with God, it’s easy to find peace and be able to breathe while you take a little time with Him.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, ‘do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’ (ESV)

When we come to God, we need to know, He will want to come into our space and do that daily. He wants our focus and attention. If we could embrace God’s presence as a solution to our concerns, the enemy would not be able to force us to carry the sack of worries any more! Get close to Him!

Quote

God never wanted you to carry your worries around, He wanted you to overcome them.

Prayer

Help me Father to bring all my worries to You. Amen.

Action Point

Every time you feel stressed, step aside for 10 minutes and pray during that time, for God to step in and help you.
