When God shakes us, it’s birthing a season where we learn and grow stronger. God doesn’t guarantee a cotton wool life; He wants to see us get to our full potential. He knows better than anyone else the things you need to deal with in your head and in your heart in order to grow.
Luke 8:14-15 says, ‘The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.’ (NIV)
God will expose us to things for growth that we might not like, just as a parent does to a child so that they learn. Relish the challenge, don’t reject it.
