John 14:12 says, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.’ (NKJV)
Goodness me, read this again and then read it again. This is Jesus speaking. Jesus opened blind eyes, raised the dead, and healed the woman with the issue of blood. Jesus, who fed the five thousand.
Jesus has promised us that if we believe in Him, these kinds of miracles will happen in our lives. Extraordinarily He says, ‘and greater works’. This scripture is one of the biggest promises to those who exercise faith in the Bible. So what stops us from seeing that in everyday life? Is Jesus deficient? Or do we need to raise our faith to meet the promise He has made - go read that again and again.
Quote
Imagine what society would be like if Christians lived out John 14:12.
Prayer
Father, build my faith, so that I might work, the works of Jesus. Amen.
Action Point
Plan to do what this verse suggests; pray with authority, determination and faith, and see the results. An outcome of greater things.
