Psalm 34:18 says, ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’ (NIV)
When life’s situations happen, and you feel completely broken, remember that God is at that moment close to you; to console, to comfort you and bring you peace. Sometimes it might feel like the ‘bowl of life’ has smashed into a million pieces across the floor. God then gently comes along, gathers all the pieces, and slowly puts that bowl back together again.
Being a Christian doesn’t mean life is a bed of roses. It does mean, though, that we have assurance through our faith that God will be with us no matter what. However broken you might feel, know that God is working in the background to ensure you have a hope and a future. Don’t give up; God is there. He is close by and loves you deeply.
Quote
When life seems broken, know that God is near putting life back together.
Prayer
Lord, in my distress, let me feel Your presence, I pray. Amen.
Action Point
If you have gone through any trauma or know of anyone who is, make sure to talk out how you feel, don’t bottle things up, it’s part of the healing process.
