00312 - O Happy Day

In 1992 a film called ‘Sister Act’ came out. The film was based on a true story, a mob-related singer going into police protection in a convent. One of the inspirational things that happened was the formation of a church school choir. You can see in the clip (link below) that the transformation happened because someone believed enough in the kids.

Hebrews 10:10 says, ‘Our sins are washed away and we are made clean because Christ gave His own body as a gift to God. He did this once for all time.’ (NLV)

The song itself reminds us of the huge impact Jesus had and continues to have on our lives. We should be singing this anthem of eternity for our time here on earth, yet sometimes we are caught up in difficult times. Come, Lord Jesus, let us throw off circumstances, so we can sing, ‘O Happy Day.’

Quote

Where ever you are, in whatever circumstance, do the right thing for everyone.

Prayer

Father, show me how, with You by my side, I can show others who are yet to believe a glimpse of Your Kingdom.
