Imagine coming to the tomb after two days of hopelessness. Mary Magdalene was the first person to engage with the resurrection. The stone was rolled away. Such was the contention with Jesus's followers; a stone was placed so no one could steal His body. Mary then met Jesus once more. Every human now was witnessing the other side of Christ’s victory. Death was no longer the victor, and eternity was all believer’s destination. Everything that Jesus had said was now being lived out moment by moment.
Acts 2:24 says, ‘But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.’ (NIV)
Remember that the power of God is displayed fully in the resurrection. Death was never going to hold Him. Let’s make it our life’s work to live in the resurrection power of Jesus.

Lord, help me live life knowing and embracing the resurrection power of Jesus. Amen.
