00298 - How Huge is This?
One of God’s creations is the Blue Whale (link in action point). They are social, air breathing mammals, they feed their young their own milk. They can live unto 200 years, their brains weigh 9kg’s. Blue Whales communicate through song.
They can grow to 110 feet long (the length of three buses) and weigh more than 300,000 pounds, which ironically is the same amount of plastic that enters the ocean every nine minutes. Scientists estimate there were once 350,000 blue whales, now only 7% of what it used to be.
It was day five of creation when in Genesis 1:21 it says ‘So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind….’ (NKJV) God created everything in water in just one day - think about that. Today we are just admiring the creative work of His hand, it’s awesome.
Everything considered, we serve an incredibly creative God.
Lord, thank You for Your creation, help me learn more about it. Amen.
