Dionne Warwick and Dolly Parton (Link below) is a wonderful Bible focussed song, written by Dolly Parton herself. The song reminds us of God’s endless comfort and hope. It tells us that God is our peace. He is righteous, the answer to our questions and prayers. He is the healer and defender of our souls. Jesus is the bridge between our circumstance and the peace of God’s river that will one day take us to heaven.
Isaiah 48:18 says ‘Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.’ (NKJV)
Know that when you walk in the ways of God, your heart and mind aligns with His. The worries melt away as if we are gently drifting down the peaceful river of God, taking in the beauty He lets us experience along the way.
