Colossians 2:6-7 says this, ‘So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.’ (NIV)
This scripture immediately took my mind back to the early days of my salvation. The days of endless Bible study, prayer times into the middle of the night. Plus a passion to be around other Christians just to learn from them and talk about Jesus.
It’s easy over time for that passion to be diminished, when we allow the distractions and commitments of life to have their way. If your passion is no longer what it was in the early days, work on that. We have one life to live, so lets live with with Christ at the very centre, until the day we meet Him face to face.
We have one life to life, live it with passion for Jesus.
Lord, fire me up to the way I felt when I first got saved. Amen.
Look back over notes, sections you highlighted in the bible, and let the meaning of all of that flow through you afresh once more.
