One of twelve children born in Alabama in 1926, Ziglar served in the Navy during World War II. He then came back to civilian life and excelled in sales, eventually leading him into self-help and motivational speaking. He leaned on his christian faith as a guiding light in his work and often referred to it in the 30 books he wrote during his life time.
Two famous quotes of Zig Ziglar are ‘Remember that failure is an event, not a person’ and ‘Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude’. The point in all of this is that anyone can use their work to express their faith.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 says ‘Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might….’ (NKJV) Whether by effort, diligence or conversation, work for the people around you as if you are working for Jesus. God will make a way for you.
