When anyone goes through something that shakes them, in the aftermath they have to think through whether they linger in the sadness or gather themselves together to face the future. Adversity of any kind is tough to handle, it requires some time, thought and prayer to get through. Knowing you are loved in the Kingdom of God will help you find hope.
One of the amazing things about Faith is you are never alone, never abandoned and always have hope for the future. James 4:10 says ‘Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.’ (NIV)
In any adversity, even when you gather yourself, never forget God in that process. Life brings its own bruises, so make sure you include God in your recovery process. Being honest and humble before Him, is a sure path to having a fruitful future, no matter what has happened to you.
Quote
The best way to be ‘lifted up’ is to ground yourself in the ‘Kingdom of God’ and surrender yourself to Him.
Prayer
Lord, thank you that you walk with me through the ups and downs of life. I surrender to you. Amen.
Action Point
Don’t rush when adversity comes, pray with friends, share your burdens and most importantly come to the Lord and ask for His help too.
