It’s quite spiritual to be good stewards and to be servant hearted, both of which are needed during times of high prices, souring inflation and less income. To be frugal is fine, even Jesus said in John 6:12, 'Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.’ (NIV)
Before we look at the ideas, remember to pray and ask God for wisdom, He might give you an idea which will really help.
Heat one room, not the whole house. Cook more than you need and freeze the rest. Rotate between friends for food when needs must. Use a shower not a bath. Use an electric blanket rather than heating the house. Use a food bank or community grocery. Eat in season good which is cheaper. Do a car boot sale to make some cash. Write a meal plan. Good ideas, don’t forget to pray for God's wisdom.
In times of lack, do everything you can to be a good steward.
Father help me. Show me what I can do to make ends meet and get through this cost of living crisis. Amen.
