Make Peace

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 11

A peaceful life is usually a happy one. One where there is no conflict or argument, one where relationships are harmonious and disagreements don’t happen. Most people don’t live like that!

Occasionally there is a bust up with a friend, work colleague or family member. The difficult part comes when an apology is needed, but no one wants to go first. There are people out there who had an argument 20 years ago and have never spoken to that person since.

Paul writing in 2 Corinthians 13:11 says ‘…be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.’ (KJV) That sounds harsh, yet is so true. Time to let whatever happened between you go. Whoever you need to make peace with - do it today! God will be pleased, you both will be happy, life can move on.

Quote

Arguments divide and peace unites - simple.

Prayer

Lord, if there is anyone I need to make peace with, give me the courage to do that today. Amen.

Action Point

Unresolved arguments lead to our body storing stress, which is not good for our health, making peace leads to a healthier lifestyle.
