There’s nothing worse than seeing someone start somethings and then see their interest in it wain over the subsequent weeks. It is as if apathy has become their best friend and failure their final destination.
2 Corinthians 8:11 says ‘Having started the ball rolling so enthusiastically, you should carry this project through to completion just as gladly, giving whatever you can out of whatever you have. Let your enthusiastic idea at the start be equalled by your realistic action now.’ (TLB)
If you can relate to giving up, use your faith to see you through. When it’s complicated or gets boring, make sure you continually have in your heart the purpose for which you started. When the going gets tough, don’t give up, make sure to know your Faith will see you through. Stop, rest, pray and then get back to what you should be doing to ‘Finish Strong’.
Quote
Finishing strong means completing well, what you set out to do.
Prayer
Lord help me finish what I need to get done, to fire up my faith and push through. Amen.
Action Point
Others around you might be going through similar apathy; talking about it can often motivate you to take the next step toward completion.
