00247 - The Importance of Conversation

Updated: Mar 9, 2023

Ever noticed how much better you feel after a good ‘natter’ with a friend as you aimlessly follow wherever the conversation leads? When you do this, endorphins are released in your brain, which help you feel happy and peaceful. Always make sure you have friends around you, that know you and who you can trust!

Conversation also stimulates your memory, and sets the days and weeks ahead of you on a more positive direction. We basically need conversation to have a fulfilled life.

In the account on the road to Emmaus it says in Luke 24:14-15, ‘As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened. As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them.’ (NLT) They were in conversation together and Jesus came to them and walked with them. He is as interested in your conversation as your friend is.

Quote

Conversation fuels a fun, happy and peaceful life.

Prayer

Lord help me to take the time to make sure I have conversation with family and friends. Amen.

Action Point

Make a list of the closest friends you know and work through that list with a good catchup, phone call, letter or email.
