Moving house can often be one of the most stressful and yet rewarding things we do in our lifetime. There are memories in the house we leave and there will be many more to come in the our new home.
The preparation of packing, exchanging contracts, organising the van and of course getting any immediate work done when you move in; can be quite chaotic. Have you ever thought about praying through each step of the way? If you are not moving yourself, you could be a prayer partner for someone whom you know who is moving.
Luke 10:5 says of any house, ‘And whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ (NASB) It’s all the more important to speak peace to the house you are going to live in! Many Christians pray in every room asking God to be present, and bless the home always.
Quote
Praying peace over your house is a Biblical principle.
Prayer
Lord, I pray afresh for your presence and peace to be evident in every room of my house. Amen
Action Point
You may have never done it, but there’s nothing stopping you going into each room today and anointing the rooms as you pray. Nothing wrong in asking God to bless where you live!
