Most of the Christians I know feel ‘unworthy’ about some aspects of their walk with God. It might be prayer, worship, gifts of the Spirit or just blaming themselves because they don’t feel confident enough.
The idea of feeling worthy is that God is happy with us, that we’ve done enough to make him happy. There’s good news… God knows you are worthy! He sent His only son to ensure that. Knowing that, it’s just a case of practice makes perfect. The one who is willing us on is of course God.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says ‘For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.’ (ESV) Remember the greatest gift we have is Christ. If He thought we were worthy enough, everything else is secondary.
Quote
If you were worthy enough to be saved, you are worthy enough for anything.
Prayer
Thank You Lord that You allow me to be a child of Christ, I am worthy through Him. Amen.
