00241 - When the Author Reads Us
Updated: Mar 9
I read a quote recently by Pastor Paul Hallam which said, ‘The Bible is the only book where you have an audience with the Author each time you read it.’ WOW, what a quote. Reading the Bible makes your soul look at the mirror of Biblical Truth. There is so much life advice contained in its pages.
The more you read, the more you realise that God is reading us, helping us to work through our issues and replacing those issues with sound Biblical ways to live life.
2 Timothy 3:6-17 says ‘All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.’ (NIV) What a promise, that God is with us, discerns us and leads us to a better way of life as we read. Thank You God.
Giving ourselves to Biblical Truth will help us in every aspect of our daily lives.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the Bible, help me to be consistent in my reading. Amen.
Why not find a friend that would could read a chapter of the bible to and then read another back every day? You would read the Bible every 18 months like that and enjoy it too.
