Cancel your plans, book a day off, change your normal routine and HAVE SOME FUN. It might be a movie, a walk, a catch up with some friends or the more ridiculous, an open swim in the sea!!
The point is, there can be so many challenges in life, we just need a rest from stress and enjoy a treat, a sneaky pudding, most definitely a belly laugh with some friends. Life is meant for living not trudging through, so make the most of it and do something different.
Let’s remember John 10:10, ‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’ (NIV) Don’t feel bad when you have some fun, be measured. 10 minutes of laughter, stimulates your heart, increases brain endorphins, relieves stress and is just fun. God wants it for YOU.
The moment fun stops, stress tries to control your life.
Thank You Lord that You created fun in the first place and that You would like me to be free from stress. Amen.
When I know I’m taking a fun day off, I watch some funny videos a few days before, it unwinds me so I can enjoy the day off, why not do the same?
