00235 - Trust Speaks

Updated: Mar 10, 2023

Trust takes a long time to develop with a person and seconds to destroy if you do something under handed in that relationship. You can be from a totally opposite ideological perspective, but trust will make room for your opinion and will also ensure your voice is heard.

It’s wonderful that we can trust in a Saviour who wants what is best for us. If we could be as trustworthy with our relationships as the one we have with Jesus, life would be much simpler. The Bible says in Psalm 37:5, ‘Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.’ (NLT)

With that in mind, if we need to be a bit more dependable, a bit more intentional and focussed, it’s worth doing. It requires effort and that is of course worth while.

There is nothing quite like a great friend who is trustworthy!

Quote

Trust happens, when you give part of yourself to the other person.

Prayer

Lord help me to trust if I struggle with that and help me be trustworthy to others. Amen.

Action Point

Make a short list of any weaknesses you have in the area of trust and think through how to fix them. Afterward work at it, until developing trust becomes second nature to you.
