00228 - Grieving

Updated: Mar 10, 2023

One of the hardest aspect of life is losing something; a loved one, a job or relationship. Grief is the manifestation of lost love. When we have loved and lost something dear to us, the feelings can be overwhelming. When the loss of someone or something happens, it’s gone. The moment loss begins, every aspect of life changes. In addition, sleep patterns may change and you might feel less confident.

Psalm 121:1-2 says ‘I look up to the mountains does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!’ (NLT)

Grief acknowledges the deep appreciation we had. If however grief happened because of the pain we caused, go sort it out; life’s too short! Over time, you’ll cherish the memories, love even more deeply the time you had and that is good. It’s only a soft heart that feels such pain.

Quote

Grief is the manifestation of lost love.

Prayer

Lord, help me continue to love more deeply, for everything that remains. Amen.

Action Point Appreciate everyone and everything that means something to you. Blessing someone with a lunch, who you love would be great.
