00224 - A Third, A Third, A Third

Updated: Mar 10, 2023

Over the years, I’ve studied scholars of business, psychology, education, sociology and of course ministry, to find out how life works. I boiled everything down to three things.

Most people…. 1) Fail at one third of the things the attempt in life. 2) Are average a third of the time and 3) One third of life is successful and fulfilled. People these days only seem to want the final third, ignoring the other two.

Philippians 4:9 says, ‘Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.’ (NIV) For all of my research, I concluded that failure is the best way to learn and then beyond that, do everything you can to example Christ. Learning, serving others and bringing Christ centered wisdom to friends is something I commend to anyone. Christ focussed decisions touch more people than you will ever know.

Quote

The life of Jesus shows us how to live our lives before we meet Him.

Prayer

Thank you Father that I can learn from failure and with your wisdom I can serve and help those around me. Amen.

Action Point

Think about your failures and what you have learned. Then if you need to make some changes, chat it through with a friend and take that step in life.
