I Survived For A Reason

Through the Covid Pandemic many people suffered loss. There are also many stories of survival. I loved hearing the testimony of a Pastor in South Africa, who was dreadfully sick at one point, but God saw her through.

Joan Hendricks used survival for celebration. She defined her survival of covid by purpose. As God didn’t take her home to heaven, she would use her time left for a reason, that reason of course was Jesus.

Sometimes in life it takes desperate circumstance to focus on eternal hope, to prioritise what is important in how we speak and act. 2 Corinthians 4:18 says ‘So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.’ (NIV). It’s time we lived our lives with the purpose of sharing Jesus with as many as we possibly can.

Quote

Let the light inside you shine out Jesus to as many people as possible.

Prayer

Thank you Lord, that I have an eternal hope, help me to share that with others. Amen.

Action Point Make a list of the people you know who need Jesus, put it on the fridge and pray for them until they get saved!
