On a trip to Alaska several years ago, I picked up a paper weight. This lovely glass ball with flakes of gold inside could be shaken like a snow globe. I thought the $12 price was a bargain for what this item represented.
I hadn’t picked it for a whole year, then when I did shake it, the gold flakes immediately became the focal point. It made me think about any unused gift of God within us. If we don’t use our gift, it falls stagnant and unseen. If we shake ourselves up spiritually, then what people see is the gift of God within us. Take time to do that and see what happens when your gift is more active in your life.
1 Peter 4:10 says ‘As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.’ (NKJV)

Lord, give me the confidence to serve You, for Your glory not mine. Amen.
Action Point Reflect on the gift of God that is stagnant within you and take some steps to use that gift once more. Shake off the dust of that gift, shake it up to put God on display.
