Isaiah 43:18-19 says ‘But forget all that - it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.’ (NLT)
That is such a great promise, yet we often inhibit our potential of getting to that destination, which God has said is possible. Our past failures often shout out, ‘don’t do it, don’t believe, you won’t make it’; as if the failure is in charge of your future. No my friends, it’s God who is in control.
What ever has gone on before, even if it’s bad judgement or decision making on your part, you still have a future in Christ. He will always believe and seek the full potential within you. Trust God today!
Your failures don’t control your future.
Father, thank you that you believe in me and lay out a path for me, help me to trust you more each day. Amen.
Action Point Carve out a few hours to go through the mistakes of the past, work out the lessons learned. Pray as you leave those issues behind, for God to lead you to a bright future.
