Solomon was known to be wise, and when you think of what he wrote in Proverbs, it proves just that. It’s the one book in the bible that is packed full of interesting life advice.
Proverbs 3:5-6 is a favourite ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight’ (NIV).
When was the last time, you read the whole book through? There’s advice in there about marriage, raising children, the fear of God, how to understand vision, work life balance, how to conquer sin, getting a grip on wisdom, understanding God’s Kingdom, how to submit to God, control your tongue, what is a friend, finding God’s purpose for your life, understanding what money and wealth is for, it’s all in there and worth a good read, give it a go.
Quote
The wisest thing we can do in life is acknowledge we don’t know everything.
Prayer
Father, thank you that I have such a reference book as Proverbs, to guide and lead me through life, Amen.
Action Point What better Bible study than to go through Proverbs with a friend, your house group or Church, the wealth of information there is amazing and life giving.
