The Leaking Bucket

Consider the leaders around us who regularly bring fresh messages to encourage us and lift us up in our walk with the Lord. To be able to consistently produce new material is quite a feat. Their output only happens when the have sufficient input to write.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, ‘Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth’ (NIV).

The task of writing is like a bucket that has holes in it, the more study done, the more the bucket fills up, yet the holes allow what they write to flow out of the bucket when messages are delivered. Without sufficient input, the constant output will empty the bucket! So, let’s pray for them, that they would continue to enjoy developing new material and be refreshed themselves while doing it.

Quote In ministry, you can’t last too long with an empty bucket, be in God’s word.

Prayer Father, I pray that you would bless the leaders around me that their messages would continue to be fresh, Amen.

Action point

If you have been running on empty for months, take some time off from giving out and refill that bucket!
