There are exceptional public speakers around us, whether at a Sunday service or speaking at a conference. Those who have crafted a message, investing themselves in writing, praying it through and of course in the delivery are to be honoured and admired.
Colossians 4:6 says, ‘Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person’ . (ESV).
Others amongst us might quiver at the knees if asked to speak. Yet that nervousness delivers an honest opportunity for God to use you as a tool in His hand. It will take courage to speak and for those who listen – they will know God has spoken to them through you. Even though it might be tough, do it for those who have a need right now, God planted a word in your heart, with them in mind. Speak that message out soon.
Quote Public Speaking: The ability to influence lives with God’s word delivered through you.
Prayer Lord, would you give me the confidence to share what you have placed on my heart in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action point
If you have a message within you, then first get it down on paper, then pray that God gives you the opportunity to share it.
