Let’s face it, all Prime Ministers come and go. The longest they can stay is two terms (8 years). Usually, the incumbent has persuaded the public that what they are offering at the time is ‘the solution’ to the Nation’s woes.
We must consider God’s influence and our role in prayer. Luke 12:48 says ‘…From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked’. (NIV)
Most leaders like the power and influence the office they. They can be dazzled by that and sometimes forget the mandate of the people they serve.
We should pray that in the next Prime Minister, we find someone influenced by our prayer because we care enough that we do spend some time praying for them. It’s a political and spiritual prayer partnership from the prayerful comfort of your home.
Quote When you pray for the PM, you spiritually shape the future of Government.
Prayer Father thank you that my prayer is valuable in your Kingdom, I pray the next Prime Minister will acknowledge you and build your Kingdom, Amen.
Action point
Don’t be afraid to pray, why not ask your Church to pray as part of the service that the next PM be righteous, serving the needs of the people.
