00064 - The freedom to fail

Updated: Mar 10, 2023

We all live in a world where success is sold as the only way to get along. Yet failure is likely to play a big part of life. Whether you failed at chess, driving a car, an exam, work, dieting, marriage, or good mental health. There are so many things that can happen in life, which means failure in some way or other is inevitable.

Why are we afraid to fail? I tell my son (without any chastising), what did you learn when you failed, not to be afraid to fail, but learn from it, and have another go.

Psalm 73:26 says, My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever’. (NIV). Don’t hold onto the that feeling of failure, know life is not over in that moment, up you get, dust yourself off, learn from it and try again.

Quote When we fail, trust in God, He created tomorrows dawn.

Prayer Father, help me deal with my disappointment when I fail, to gather my thoughts and appreciate you, Amen.

Action Point Life is always brightest when we spend a little time looking at how God has helped us over the years, let your thoughts be occupied with those wonderful moments.
