Years ago, someone once told me that if I did my best, I could trust God with the rest. It resonated with me! God’s love is unconditional, but His blessing isn’t. It depends on our obedience and giving Him our best in each and every situation rather than our “leftovers”, is a prerequisite to blessing.
So much in life is beyond our control, and the only thing we can truly be responsible for is ourselves. What’s done is done. Look forward, not back, and let the Apostle Paul (Philippians 3:13-14) be your role model. Forget what’s behind you. Invite Jesus to make your past count for your future, because God can turn your past into a present for your future!
My secret to peace and contentment is this: be the best you can be where you are with what you’ve got… then, you can confidently trust God with the rest!
