It hit me on a recent mission to Kathmandu, how much the people around me sacrificed for me. They each had stories of sacrifice in their past to get them where they are today.
I met Pastor Indra - his mother sold the family’s prized possession, their water buffalo, so that he could attend Bible College. No more milk for the family to drink or sell.
Aruna - invited us for lunch at the restaurant where she works as a waitress.
She paid for our meal, deeming it a privilege. Earning 400 rupees daily, our bill came to 750 rupees. She sacrificed two days’ pay.
What would YOU sacrifice for someone?
Scripture tells us in John 3 v 16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son… “. (NKJV)
Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice, the basis of my faith, why I do what I do.

Thank you Lord that you enable us to sacrifice to help and bless others who preach your word, Amen.
