A. Taize Prayer - Nancy Gower & Eric Alderfer: The community of Taize in France has developed a distinct form of Christ centered meditaive prayer which is used by many denominations all over the world. This workshop will be a time of prayer & music introduced by a brief history of the Community of Taize. (teh-zay).
B. Living a Courageous Life - Rebecca Harrison: Joshua 1:9 invites us to be “bold and courageous” as we join God on His mission of redemption and reconciliation. In this seminar we will explore our individual passions and the call to serve boldly as we begin to identify and move beyond the barriers that stop us from living and walking courageously with Christ.
C. The Power of Prayer - Caren Bream: Caren is passionate about empowering ordinary people to do extraordinary things through prayer. She will be doing a practical study of how to listen to the Lord and respond to see His kingdom advanced in a powerful, tangible way in your life. Caren is Programs Coordinator for HPN.
D. Making Connections: Art as a Holy Practice- Anne Baumgartner: This will be interactive & experiential. Using scripture text & common images, we will explore different ideas that can bring art & prayer together. Just as writing & music help to access spiritual understanding, visual art practices lead us toward connection with God. No experience needed. All art materials provided. Limited to 24.
E. Worship & Praise the Lord with Dance - Wendy Garfield- Interpretive movement and gesture depicting the word of God. Experience the beauty of dance in a worshipful way. Wendy is a professional worship dance instructor presently providing classes for young people. For Juniors; all others welcome.
F. Rhythms of Grace - Irene Simmons: Have life’s complexities deafened you to God’s music? Do you feel as though you have “two left feet” in your life-dance with the Lord? Is your dance with Him laborious or jubilant? Are you leading or following? God’s “rhythms of grace” (His dance steps) teach us to live in authentic hope, even joy, regardless of our circumstances.
G. Adolescents and the Media - Traci Maffei MA, MFT & Joelle Jacobson MA, MFT: In today’s culture, our teens are bombarded with over 3000 media images each day. The implications of this exposure can be far-reaching, making it crucial for teens and parents to become educated about the media’s influence. This presentation will offer suggestions on how parents can help their teens navigate the media in a healthy and beneficial manner.
H. The Serious Business of God - Josie Coleman: If the joy of the Lord is our strength, what does that look like in everyday life, and how can we draw on that joy in the midst of hardship?

J. Anoiting at Bethany - Marjorie Lowe: A short drama from a female perspective. Based on Luke 7:36-50 by Mary A Morrison. Includes music, drama, reading and movement. For Juniors & Others
